Along Came the Devil is a 2018 American supernatural horror thriller. After a traumatic childhood where her mother vanished and her father abused her, *Ashley Winbourne* returns to her hometown and moves in with her aunt *Tanya* for a fresh start.
Soon Ashley experiences paranormal events — blackouts, personality shifts, and unnatural strength. She and those around her realize she’s possessed by a demonic force linked to her past.
Her childhood friend *Hannah* and local *Pastor John* try to help her, but the possession grows stronger. They bring in *Reverend Michael*, an expert in demonology, to perform an exorcism and fight for Ashley’s soul.
The film ends with an ambiguous ritual, leaving it unclear if Ashley is saved or if the demon remains in control.
